Lidin (English spelling) Vladimir Germanovich Lidin

Russian and Soviet author. Graduated from the Faculty of Law at Moscow University. He began publishing works in 1915, mainly depicting the lives of intellectuals. In short story collections such as "The Sea and the Mountain" (1922) and "The Daily Life of a Mouse" (1923), he focused on small people, and in "The North Wind" (1925) he portrayed adventurers. He is best known for his long novels "The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" (1932), set in Paris, and "Great, or Silent" (1933), which depicts a reindeer farm in the Far East. After World War II, he wrote works such as "Two Lives."
