Floating stick - Floating stick

A type of playground equipment for children. It is a swing-like device with a log (approximately 5 meters long and 30 centimeters in diameter) with both ends hung in a V-shape by chains or other means, and children swing it around to cross the log or play with each other by knocking it down. It is effective in developing a sense of balance in infants and children. However, because swinging it too vigorously can be very dangerous, it is rarely seen in parks or amusement parks these days.

児童用遊具の一種。丸太棒（長さ5メートル前後、直径30センチメートルくらい）の両端を、鎖などでV字形につるしたブランコのようなもので、揺り動かして、丸太の上を渡ったり、二人で落としあいなどをして遊ぶ。幼児や児童のバランス感覚を育てるのに効果がある。ただし、激しく振ると大きな危険も伴うため、最近では公園や遊園地でもあまり目にすることはなくなってしまった。
