Yanagiwara Sukeaki

1297-1353 A court noble from the Kamakura to Nanboku-cho period.
Born in the 5th year of Einin. The 4th son of Hino Toshimitsu. Served Emperor Kogon. When Ashikaga Takauji rebelled against the Kenmu government, he followed Emperor Godaigo, but later served Emperor Kogon again, and rose to the rank of Shonii and Gon Dainagon. Founder of the Yanagiwara family. Died on July 27th, 8th year of Bunna 2 (Shohei 8). 57 years old.

永仁(えいにん)5年生まれ。日野俊光の4男。光厳(こうごん)天皇につかえる。足利尊氏が建武(けんむ)政権に反旗をひるがえすと後醍醐(ごだいご)天皇にしたがうが,のちふたたび光厳院につかえ,正二位,権(ごんの)大納言にすすんだ。柳原家の祖。文和(ぶんな)2=正平(しょうへい)8年7月27日死去。57歳。
