After the war, he became the lord of Kiyosu Castle in Owari Province, and ruled over Owari Province (excluding Chita and Kaisai counties and part of Nakashima County). He was Ieyasu's representative in the west. In 1605, he was promoted to Junior Third Rank and Lieutenant General, and in 1606, he was given an additional 100,000 koku of land in Chita County. After his death, he died without an heir. His estate was inherited by his younger brother Yoshinao (Ieyasu's ninth son), the lord of Kofu Castle in Kai.
