Whitehall - Whitehall (English spelling)

Japanese: ホワイトホール - ほわいとほーる(英語表記)Whitehall
Whitehall - Whitehall (English spelling)

A street in the borough of Westminster in the centre of London, the capital of the United Kingdom. It runs parallel to the Thames, one street inside the riverbank, from Trafalgar Square to Parliament Square. Although it is less than 1 kilometre long, it is the administrative centre where most of the central government offices are located. It is lined with government buildings built between the 18th and early 20th centuries. Its name comes from Whitehall, the royal palace from the Tudor and Stuart periods (burnt down in 1698). It is home to the Horse Guards (Household Cavalry Brigade).
