Abbreviation Psc. One of the zodiacal constellations. Currently, the vernal equinox is in this constellation. The constellation is shaped like two fish tied together with a string. In Greek mythology, the goddess Aphrodite and her son Eros were strolling along the river when the monster Typhon appeared. The monster escaped and jumped into the river, turning into a fish. Alpha star is called Risha (meaning knot in Arabic), and is a binary star with magnitudes of 4.2 and 5.1 that orbit each other with a period of 720 years. Its approximate position is right ascension 0h20m, declination -58°. Its noon at 8pm is in late November.

略号Psc。黄道星座の一つ。現在春分点がこの星座にある。星座は2尾の魚が紐で結ばれた形になり，ギリシア神話では女神アフロディテとその子エロスとが河畔を散歩しているとき，怪物テュフォンが出現して，のがれて川の中にとびこんで魚になった姿という。α星はリシャ(アラビア語で結び目の意)と呼ばれ，4.2等と5.1等の二つの星が周期720年でまわりあっている連星である。概略位置は赤経0h20m，赤緯－58゜。午後8時の南中は11月下旬である。
