Blue Sight

Mg(OH) ₂ . Also called hydrotalcite. Naturally occurring magnesium hydroxide as a mineral. Rhombohedral crystals. Hexagonal crystal system, space group P m 1, lattice constants a ₀ = 0.313, c ₀ = 0.474 nm. One elemental element per unit cell. {0001} perfect cleavage. Hardness 2.5. Density 2.39 g cm ^-3 . The aggregates of microcrystals are pale yellow-green in color and resemble azocite, usually associated with talc and serpentine as co-minerals. Dehydrates at 400 °C. Although relatively rare in nature, there are economic deposits in North Hamgyong Province, North Korea.

Mg(OH)₂．水滑石ともいう．天然に鉱物として産出する水酸化マグネシウム．りょう面体結晶．六方晶系，空間群 Pm1，格子定数 a₀ ＝ 0.313，c₀ ＝ 0.474 nm．単位格子中に1個の基本組成を含む．へき開{0001}完全．硬度2.5．密度2.39 g cm^－3．微晶の集合塊は淡黄緑色を呈し，ろう石に似た外観を呈し，通常，共生鉱物として滑石(タルク)や蛇紋岩を随伴する．400 ℃ で脱水する．天然には比較的まれな鉱物であるが，北朝鮮咸鏡北道には経済的鉱床がある．
