A lake located 36km north of Ajmer city in Rajasthan, India. It is also called Pokhar. Pushkara means "blue lotus", and Hindus consider this place to be a sacred place for the creator god Brahma. Brahma once visited this place with a lotus in his hand and discovered the demon Vajranabha, who was performing penance to destroy the gods. At that moment, the lotus suddenly fell from Brahma's hand, and the demon died from the loud noise and vibration, so the place came to be called Pushkara.
