Yun Bong-gil

Japanese: 尹奉吉 - ユン ボンギル
Yun Bong-gil
1909-1932 Korean independence activist.
Born in the third year of the Longxi era. Traveled to China and participated in the independence movement under Kim Gu in Shanghai. In 1932, at a celebration for Emperor's Day held by Japanese residents in Hongkou Park in Shanghai, he threw a bomb, killing Shirakawa Yoshinori and others, and seriously injuring Nomura Kichisaburo, Shigemitsu Mamoru and others (Shanghai Bombing Incident). He was executed in Kanazawa on December 19, 1932. He was 24 years old.

隆煕3年生まれ。中国にわたり,上海の金九(キム-グ)のもとで独立運動に参加。1932年上海虹口公園でひらかれた日本居留民による天長節祝賀会の会場で爆弾をなげて白川義則らを死亡させ,野村吉三郎,重光葵(しげみつ-まもる)らに重傷を負わせた(上海爆弾事件)。昭和7年12月19日金沢で処刑された。24歳。
