Also called rosinite. A glassy volcanic rock with chemical composition equivalent to dacite or rhyolite, containing 1-10% water. It has a dull resinous luster. 松脂(しょうし)岩とも。デイサイトまたは流紋岩に相当する化学成分をもつガラス質火山岩で水を１〜10％含むもの。にぶい樹脂状光沢をもつ。水分の由来はマグマが固結する際に地下水や海水を，あるいは近くの完晶質岩石から追い出された水を吸収したものと考えられている。→黒曜石
