The protagonist of the play of the same name (first performed in 1904) by the British playwright J.M. Barrie. He first appeared in the novel The Little White Bird (1902). The story is about Wendy Darling, a daughter of the London-based Darling family, and her two brothers who are taken to a mysterious island by a boy named Peter Pan who never grows up. They are welcomed by other boys who have been missing from the mortal world, and after battling Captain Hook and his gang of pirates who are after Peter, they return to London.
