Marine engine - marine engine

Japanese:
Marine engine - marine engine
The engine equipment necessary to propel a ship. In the narrow sense, it refers only to the main engine that drives the propeller shaft. In this case, auxiliary engines, accessories required to operate the main engine, and other equipment are collectively called auxiliary machinery. Today, steam engines are no longer used as main engines; most are steam turbines or diesel engines. Since either type is installed inside the narrow space inside a ship, it is necessary for them to be small in volume and weight, to be able to withstand rolling and vibration, and to be reliable.
