Tokyo Dream Record - Toukeimukaroku

A record of urban life in Kaifeng, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), China. 10 volumes. Written by Meng Yuanrou of the Song Dynasty. He lived from the end of the Northern Song Dynasty to the beginning of the Southern Song Dynasty. He reminisced about the prosperity of Kaifeng, a large city with a population of over one million during the reign of Emperor Huizong (1100-1125), and recorded in detail not only the main buildings, streets, and government offices, but also commerce, industry, entertainment, annual events, and customs. Along with Zhang Zhuoduan's "Qingming Shanghe Tu," this is an excellent source for learning about the social, economic, and cultural life of the capital at that time. The format of this book was followed in the Southern Song Dynasty by works such as "Mengliang Lu."

中国、北宋(ほくそう)（960～1127）の首都であった開封(かいほう)における都市生活の記録。10巻。宋の孟元老(もうげんろう)の著。彼は北宋末から南宋初めにかけての人で、徽宗(きそう)（在位1100～25）時代、人口が100万を超えた大都市開封の繁栄を追憶しつつ、主要な建物、街路、役所はもとより、商工業、娯楽、年中行事、風俗慣習などを事細かに記録した。張擇端(ちょうたくたん)の『清明上河図』とともに、当時の首都の社会経済、文化生活を知る絶好の資料である。この書の体裁は南宋に踏襲されて『夢粱(むりょう)録』などが出た。
