Musical instruments that use electricity as a basis. Electric musical instruments. They can be broadly divided into mechanical and electrical oscillations, depending on the method used to obtain the initial vibrations. Mechanical oscillations include instruments that first vibrate strings (steel wires) or reeds (metal pieces), and then extract the vibrations as electrical vibrations (the electric guitar is one example), as well as instruments that use gears rotated by a motor and electromagnetic induction (the Hammond organ). Electric oscillations include instruments that use only electrical circuits to produce low-frequency oscillations (the electone), and instruments that generate two high-frequency waves and obtain low-frequency vibrations from the beat of these (the ondes martenot). Either type of oscillation is amplified through electrical manipulation and is output as sound from a speaker. In some cases, instruments that also oscillate using electronic circuits are called "electronic musical instruments," and include electronic organs such as the ondes martenot and electone, and synthesizers. →Electronic music→Related topics Unplugged | Musical instruments | Guitar | Disco Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
electric musical instruments。
