This was the finest paper produced at the court during the reign of Li Huan, the Middle Ruler of the Southern Tang Dynasty, and Li Yu, the Later Ruler of the Five Dynasties. Chengxin-do paper was constructed by the first ruler, Li Ben, and can be considered an art and craft work that demonstrates the prosperity of Southern Tang culture. It was made from mulberry bark and was produced in two types, thick and thin, both of which were used for poetry and paintings. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, a copy of the thick Chengxin-do paper was made.

中国，五代の南唐の中主李環，後主李煜 (いく) のとき，宮廷でつくられた最高級の紙。澄心堂は，初代の烈祖李べんが造った建造物で，南唐文化の隆盛を示す美術工芸品ともいうべきもの。原料は桑皮を用い，製品には厚薄2種があり，いずれも詩画のために使用された。清代乾隆帝のとき，厚手の澄心堂紙の模作が行われた。
