Chukei
〘Noun〙 ("Kei" means to open) A type of " Suehiro ④". Its characteristic is that the tip is narrower than Suehiro, and there is no carving on the rib. The top of the rib is curved outward, so even when folded, the head is still half-open (naka-hiro), hence the name. It was mainly used by monks and senior retainers.
