Born January 30, 1666. Tendai sect. He studied under Myoryu and Reiku at Anraku-Ryo-in Temple on Mount Hiei, and became the third abbot of the temple in 1770. He spread Anraku-Ryo and worked hard to promote its prosperity by establishing over 50 temples, and was considered one of the three greatest priests of Anraku-Ryo-in Temple alongside Myoryu and Reiku. He passed away on May 13, 1772. He was 87 years old. He was from Ise (Mie Prefecture). His secular surname was Ibaraki, and his pen name was Genmon. His works include "Shimei Jyugi Shochouki."
