A type of Bugaku stage. It is a stone stage set up outdoors, and representative examples are the large stone stage built over Kame-no-ike pond in front of Rokujido Hall at Shitennoji Temple in Osaka, the stone stage built over a pond at Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine in Osaka, and the stone stage built over the sea at Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima, Hiroshima Prefecture, which are known as the Three Stone Stages. Bugaku is still performed on these stages at events such as the Shitennoji Seirei-e and the Unoha Shinto Bugaku Ritual at Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine.
