Sekiyado [town] - Sekiyado

Japanese: 関宿[町] - せきやど

A former town in Higashikatsushika County, in the northwestern corner of Chiba Prefecture. It occupies the junction of the Tone River and Edo River. The city center developed as a castle town in the early modern period and as a river port on the Tone River and Edo River. It is connected to Sakai Town in Ibaraki Prefecture by Sakai Ohashi Bridge and Satte City in Saitama Prefecture by Sekiyado Ohashi Bridge. It produces rice and vegetables. Higashihoshubana in the center was also a river port on the Edo River. In June 2003, it was incorporated into Noda City. ^{29.82 km2} . Population: 31,275 (2000).

千葉県北西端，東葛飾(ひがしかつしか)郡の旧町。利根川と江戸川の分流点を占める。中心市街は近世の城下町，利根川・江戸川の河港として発達，茨城県境町と境大橋，埼玉県幸手市と関宿大橋で結ばれている。米，野菜を産する。中部の東宝珠花(ひがしほうしゅばな)も江戸川の河港であった。2003年６月，野田市へ編入。29.82km²。３万1275人（2000）。
