Cape Ghana's southernmost point in West Africa (latitude 4°43' north, longitude 2°06' west). In the past, Europeans called the eastern side of the cape, which juts out into the Gulf of Guinea, the Gold Coast and the western side the Ivory Coast. Remains of forts built by Europeans are scattered around the cape. The surrounding area has a rocky coast, which is rare for the coast of the Gulf of Guinea, and the offshore area is a good fishing spot. The cape is divided into West Point and East Point, and there is a lighthouse at East Point. [Go Kenji]

西アフリカ，ガーナ最南端の岬(北緯4゜43′，西経2゜06′)。かつてヨーロッパ人は，ギニア湾に突出するこの岬を境にして，東側を黄金海岸，西側を象牙海岸と呼んだ。岬の近辺にはヨーロッパ人が築いた砦の跡が散在する。周辺はギニア湾岸には珍しく岩石海岸となり，沖合は好漁場である。ウェスト･ポイントとイースト･ポイントに分かれ，イースト･ポイントに灯台が立つ。【郷研二】
