Cape Ghana's southernmost point in West Africa (latitude 4°43' north, longitude 2°06' west). In the past, Europeans called the eastern side of the cape, which juts out into the Gulf of Guinea, the Gold Coast and the western side the Ivory Coast. Remains of forts built by Europeans are scattered around the cape. The surrounding area has a rocky coast, which is rare for the coast of the Gulf of Guinea, and the offshore area is a good fishing spot. The cape is divided into West Point and East Point, and there is a lighthouse at East Point. [Go Kenji] Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
