This type of pottery is a gray-blue, dark black hard pottery found in the southern part of the Korean peninsula. It is so named because it was found in large quantities in the high-mounded tombs of Silla. It was fired at a fairly high temperature, and its decoration and patterns show unique techniques. The vessel shapes include high-rise bowls, vases, and pedestals, and sueki ware excavated from Japanese tombs is thought to belong to this type. → Related Articles Gimhae Ruins | Kinrei Tomb | Ceramic pottery Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
