Shorui Honzo

Japanese: 証類本草 - しょうるいほんぞう

A Chinese herbal medicine. It was originally the common name for Jingshi Zhengruibeiqiu Bencao, which was created by Chengdu physician Tang Shenwei around 1090 (Yuanyou 5) at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty by combining Jiayou Bencao and Tujing Bencao, and adding about 660 medicines and quotations from many medical books and herbal medicine books. However, the term Zhengruibencao is more often used as a general term for three books with almost identical content: Tang Shenwei's book, which seems to have remained unpublished, Daguan Bencao, which was published in 1108 (Daguan 2) with some revisions by Ai Sheng, and Zhenghe Bencao, which was proofread and published by Cao Xiaozhong and others in 1116 (Zhenghe 6).

中国の本草書。本来は北宋末の1090年(元祐5)ころに成都の医師，唐慎微が《嘉祐本草》と《図経本草》を合し，それに約660の薬と多くの医書，本草書からの引用文を加えて作った《経史証類備急本草》の通称である。しかし《証類本草》の語は未刊のまま終わったらしい唐慎微の書に，1108年(大観2)に艾晟（がいせい）がそれに多少の手を加えたものの刊本である《大観本草》と，さらに1116年(政和6)に曹孝忠らがそれを校正して刊行した《政和本草》を加えた，内容的にほとんど同一の3書の総称として用いられることの方が多い。
