Abbreviated as DDNP. A compound with explosive properties that was first synthesized by J.P. Griess in 1858. In Japan, it is used as an explosive for industrial detonators and electric detonators. Sodium picramate is obtained by adding caustic soda to picric acid and then adding sodium sulfide for reduction. Sodium picramate is obtained by diazotizing this with sodium nitrite in an acidic aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid. Highly fluid granular material is used as an explosive, while fine crystalline material is used as an ignition charge.

DDNPと略記。1858年グリースJ.P.Griessによって初めて合成された起爆薬の性質をもった化合物。日本では工業雷管や電気雷管の起爆薬として用いられている。ピクリン酸に苛性ソーダを加え，さらに硫化ナトリウムを加えて還元するとピクラミン酸ナトリウムが得られる。これを塩酸酸性の水溶液中で亜硝酸ナトリウムによりジアゾ化すると得られる。起爆薬用には流動性に富む粒状のものが，点火薬用には細い結晶状のものが用いられる。
