Ariyama Tomb - Ariyama Tomb

Japanese: アリ山古墳 - ありやまこふん

This square tomb, 45m on each side, is located in Nonaka, Fujiidera City, Osaka Prefecture. It is located in the Furuichi Kofun Group and was built adjacent to the western moat of the Ojin Mausoleum. It also contains clay figurines and roofing stones. Artifacts were excavated from three locations on the top of the tomb: the center, south, and north. The north facility is a burial site thought to be a box-shaped structure measuring 3m in length and 1.4m in width, separated by boards, in which a large number of iron items, including weapons, agricultural implements, and tools, were buried in layers. There are 32 groups of iron arrowheads on the upper layer, swords and spears on the middle layer, and various iron items such as axes, sickles, hoes, spears, warabide knives, saws, and chisels on the lower layer.

大阪府藤井寺市野中にある1辺45mの方墳。古市古墳群の中に位置し，応神陵の西濠に接して築かれていて，埴輪，葺石もある。墳頂部の中央，南，北の3ヵ所から遺物を出土した。北施設は，長さ3m，幅1.4mの箱形に板で仕切ったとみられる副葬用遺構で，武器，農具，工具からなる鉄器を大量に重ねて埋納していた。上層に32群の鉄鏃，中層に刀剣と槍，下層には斧，鎌，鍬，鉇（やりがんな），蕨手（わらびで）刀子，鋸，鑿など各種鉄器を配列したものである。
