Remaining chapters of Komyo-ji Temple
This is a single book made by stitching together documents from the Komyo-ji Temple in Ise Province. It consists of both copies of documents and a diary. It was created during the Nanboku-cho period. The author is unknown. It is also called "Remains of the Komyo-ji Temple Collection" or "Military Diary," but has no official name. The diary covers the events from Emperor Godaigo's visit to Nara in August 1331 (Ganko 1) to the siege of Akasaka Castle by the shogunate forces in October of the same year. It is a fundamental source for understanding the historical development from the Genko Rebellion to the Kenmu Restoration. Included in Gunsho Ruiju. [Inaba Nobumichi]
