China, later Han The last (14th) emperor, Liu Xie, reigned 189-220. He was the middle son of Emperor Ling and ascended to the throne at the age of 9. Dong Zhuo seized real power, and in 190 (Chuping 1), fearing that Yuan Shao would rise up in arms, he forced the capital to move to Chang'an. After Dong Zhuo was killed, Li Jue, Guo Si and others, who were subordinate generals to Dong Zhuo, supported him. In 196 (Jian'an 1), he returned to Luoyang, and the following year moved the capital to Xu and sought refuge with Cao Cao. After Cao Cao's death (220), he abdicated and became the Duke of Shanyang.

中国,後最後(14代)の皇帝劉協。在位189‐220年。霊帝の中子で,9歳で即位する。董卓(とうたく)が実権を掌握し,190年(初平1)に袁紹の挙兵を恐れた董卓に強制されて長安に遷都した。董卓が殺されたあとは,董卓の部曲将である李傕(りかく),郭汜(かくし)らに擁立された。196年(建安1)に洛陽に帰り,翌年に許に遷都して曹操を頼ったが,曹操の死後(220),魏王曹丕(そうひ)(曹操の子)に帝位を禅譲し,退位とともに山陽公となった。
