(1) Regarding steady-state current. 1. The algebraic sum of the strength of the current flowing into or out of a connection point of a circuit is zero. 2. When considering any closed circuit within a circuit, the algebraic sum of the product of the resistance of each conductor and the strength of the current flowing through it is equal to the algebraic sum of the electromotive forces in this circuit (when the closed circuit goes in a certain direction, the current and electromotive force in that direction are positive, and those in the opposite direction are negative). (2) Regarding thermal radiation. The ratio of the radiant energy and absorptive capacity of an object in radiation equilibrium (the ratio of the amount of radiant energy absorbed by a material to the amount incident on it) is unrelated to the properties of the material, and is a function only of temperature and the frequency of radiation. → Kirchhoff/Blackbody radiation
