An active volcano in the southeast of Hawaii, Hawaii, USA. It is 1,222 meters above sea level. It is a flat, shield-shaped volcano. The caldera, which covers about 10 ^km2 , becomes a lava lake when lava erupts, and the highly fluid lava often overflows and reaches the coast, causing damage to farmland and settlements. It belongs to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and is also a popular tourist spot.
