An active volcano in the southeast of Hawaii, Hawaii, USA. It is 1,222 meters above sea level. It is a flat, shield-shaped volcano. The caldera, which covers about 10 km2 , becomes a lava lake when lava erupts, and the highly fluid lava often overflows and reaches the coast, causing damage to farmland and settlements.
