Functional uterine bleeding

This is a condition in which bleeding occurs from the endometrium even though there is no organic change in the uterus such as cancer, fibroids, or inflammation. It can also be caused by anovulation or an imbalance of female hormones. It is treated with hormone medication and hemostatic agents.
