〘 noun 〙 A type of veranda made by the way the boards are laid. A veranda with the board laid perpendicular to the threshold. It is seen in a wet veranda . A wooden edge veranda. ⇔ A kure-en. ※Political talk (around 1727) 2 "For a house, there are toko, gaitana, shoin -zukuri, nageshi-zukuri, and kirime-en."
