Gikkonbattan

...It has long been a favorite game for children, and images of children playing by placing planks on fallen tree trunks appear in British picture books from the 1880s. In Japan, the game has been given various names depending on the region, such as "Gikkonbattan," "Pettanko," "Zaicobattan," and "Agarisagari," based on the way the see-saw moves.
