Kannada language - Kannadago (English spelling)
It is also called Kanarese or Kanara. It belongs to the Dravidian language family. It has about 22 million speakers, mainly in the state of Karnataka, India. It is the official language of the state of Karnataka. It has developed a writing system based on the Brahmi script since ancient times, and has had its own literature since the 9th century.
