… Because plants use water from the soil, the humidity and dryness related to plant distribution is reflected in the soil moisture state and is governed by the amount of precipitation and evaporation from the soil. Since the amount of evaporation is largely determined by temperature, the humidity and dryness index is expressed as the relationship between the annual precipitation and the annual average temperature, and one of the most well-known is the Köppen index ( K ).
