Dry compass - Kanshiki compass

...Depending on the structure, compasses are classified as dry or liquid type, but recently, compasses using magnetic detection sensors have also been invented. Dry compasses have a structure in which an extremely lightweight compass card (compass scale) is placed on top of the axis needle in the center of the compass bowl. Since strong magnets cannot be used due to weight restrictions, they have low sensitivity and poor vibration resistance, so they are rarely used nowadays.
