...A native of Chang'an. He studied landscape painting under Jing Hao and was highly praised for his unique style, known as the Guan family landscape painting. His landscape paintings, which are composed of magnificent peaks and secluded valleys, most closely match the descriptions in the literature: "Autumn Mountains in Late Green" (National Palace Museum, Taipei).
