Amsadong-yujŏk Ruins

Japanese: 岩寺洞遺跡 - がんじどういせき（英語表記）Amsadong‐yujŏk

Located in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea, this is a representative settlement site from the Comb Pattern Pottery (Neolithic) period in the central region of the west coast. Since the site was discovered in 1925, surface collection of artifacts has been actively carried out. Since 1960, a total of nearly 10 excavations have been carried out. The site is located on an alluvial sand dune plateau on the left bank of the Han River. To date, the remains of over a dozen overlapping pit dwellings have been discovered, which will greatly contribute to elucidating the structure of dwellings and settlements. The pit dwellings are of two types in plan: square with rounded corners and circular.

大韓民国ソウル特別市江東区にある，西海岸中部地方の櫛目文土器(新石器)時代の代表的集落遺跡。1925年に遺跡が発見されて以後，遺物の表面採集が盛んに行われた。60年以降，通算すると10次近い発掘が実施された。遺跡は漢江左岸の沖積砂丘台地に立地する。これまでに十数基以上の竪穴式住居跡が重複した状態で検出され，住居や集落の構造解明に資するところが大きい。竪穴式住居跡には平面形が隅丸方形と円形の2種類がある。
