Karakusa Oose - Karakusa Oose

...It is found in coastal or shallow water areas of various areas south of central Honshu, but its distribution range also extends to Taiwan and the Korean Peninsula. It is also found in the same genus as the spider-faced giant grebe and the brown-legged giant grebe, which are found as far as Australia. The giant grebe has a nasal groove connecting its nose and mouth, a flat, stocky body, and a fleshy protrusion at the tip of its head.
