Gamou Taro

Japanese: 蒲生太郎 - がもうたろう
Gamou Taro

...A samurai family from the Heian to early Edo period. It is said that Koretoshi, a descendant of Chiharu, the second son of the Chinjufu Shogun Fujiwara no Hidesato, came to Kyoto from Mutsu Province and served the Taira clan. He ruled Gamo District in Omi Province and called himself Gamo Taro. His son Toshikata served Minamoto no Yoritomo, and later Toshitsuna and his son Hidetomo served Ashikaga Takauji and achieved success.
