It is said that Koretoshi, a descendant of Chiharu, the second son of the Chinjufu Shogun Fujiwara no Hidesato, came to Kyoto from Mutsu Province and served the Taira clan. He ruled Gamo District in Omi Province and called himself Gamo Taro.
