In the Edo period, this shop in Edo Hongo sold toothpaste and toothache medicine. [Additional note] In the "Funai Notes - 33," it says, "Hongo 3-chome <omitted> the area on the east side of the town, near the north gate, and in the same place in 4-chome, both towns are known as Satozoku Kaneyasu Yokocho." It was also said that "Hongo as far as Kaneyasu was part of Edo." 江戸時代、江戸本郷にあって歯磨き粉、歯痛の薬を売った店。[補注]「御府内備考‐三三」に「本郷三丁目〈略〉町内東側北木戸際同所四丁目両町境横町を里俗兼康横町と相唱申候」とあり、「本郷も兼康までは江戸の内」などともいわれた。
