A deciduous shrub of the Rosaceae family (APG classification: Rosaceae). It grows to a height of 1-2 meters. It branches well, with thin branches that are curved and drooping. In rare cases, it may sprout from the point where it touches the ground. In May and June, the new branches bear white, five-petaled flowers about 5 mm in diameter in a cone shape. There are generally 20 stamens. The fruit is a capsule and is hairy. It grows mainly in the mountains on the Pacific coast of Chubu, Honshu. [Naohiro Naruhashi December 13, 2019] The leaves are divided into 3 to 5 shallow or medium lobes, with a caudal tip. In May and June, small white flowers are produced in panicles at the tips of new branches. ©Seishohmaru "> Cannabis sativa Source: Shogakukan Encyclopedia Nipponica About Encyclopedia Nipponica Information | Legend |
