…On March 13, 1920, a coup d'état was planned by a part of the military and anti-republican politicians to overthrow the revolutionary movement in the Weimar Republic. In recent years, it has been called the Kapp-Lüttwitz Putsch, named after the two leaders. Conservative imperialists and nationalists who opposed the German Revolution and the establishment of the Republic and aspired to the pre-war imperial system, led by Wolfgang Kapp (1858-1922), organized the Nationalist League with the aim of overthrowing the system.
