Goose Game

Backgammon is still the most commonly played board game in Europe and the Middle East. The "goose game", which is the same as the Japanese picture sugoroku, became popular in Italy from the 16th century onwards, and in England from the 17th century onwards. Sugoroku was introduced to Japan a long time ago, and was already banned in 689 (the 3rd year of the reign of Jitō).
