...A large archaeological site located in the area from Todoi-cho to Takakura-cho in Atsuta-ku, Nagoya City, spanning the early to middle and late Yayoi periods, and even the Kofun period. It was discovered in 1898, and is well-known in academic history for the fact that the coexistence of Yayoi pottery and stone tools was confirmed and reported by Kagiya Tokusaburo in 1908. It was excavated by the University of Tokyo's Anthropology Department in 1943, and by Nanzan University in 1954. *Some of the terminology used to refer to "Kagiya Tokusaburo" is listed below.
