Dissociation constant - Kairi Teisu

The equilibrium constant for dissociation equilibrium. It has the same properties as a general equilibrium constant, and its value changes only with temperature.

The dissociation constant for

and is independent of the concentrations of AB, A, or B. In gas phase dissociation, the degree of dissociation may vary depending on the total pressure, but the dissociation constant itself does not change. In electrolyte solutions, the activity a or activity coefficient y is used instead of the concentration c in the above formula, and

is the correct dissociation constant. In the case of electrolyte solutions, it is also called the ionization constant.

で表され，AB，A，あるいはBの濃度に無関係である．気相での解離において解離度が全圧によって変わる場合があるが，解離定数そのものは変化しない．電解質溶液での解離では，上式の濃度cのかわりに，活量aあるいは活量係数yを用いて，

が正しい解離定数である．電解質溶液の場合は電離定数ともいう．
