Jialing River - Karyo-ko

A tributary of the Yangtze River in China. It flows southwest from Baoji in southwestern Shaanxi Province, passes through Shaanxi again from the southeastern tip of Gansu Province, and flows south from the northeastern part of the province into Sichuan Province. The Baishui River flows into the river at Guangyuan, the Fu River flows in from the right at Hechuan, and the Qu River flows in from the left, and it joins the Yangtze River at Chongqing. It is 1,119 km long and has a drainage area of ​​about 160,000 square km. About 70% of the river's length is transportable by water, and passenger ships travel between Hechuan and Chongqing. There are many dams in the upstream gorges.

中国、揚子江(ようすこう／ヤンツーチヤン)支流の川。陝西(せんせい／シャンシー)省南西部宝鶏(ほうけい／パオチー)付近から南西流し、甘粛(かんしゅく／カンスー)省南東端からふたたび陝西省を経て、その北東部から四川(しせん／スーチョワン)省に入って南流する。広元(こうげん／コワンユワン)で白水江(はくすいこう)、合川(ごうせん)で右から涪江(ふこう)、左から渠江(きょこう)が流入し、重慶(じゅうけい／チョンチン)で揚子江に合流する。全長1119キロメートル、流域面積約16万平方キロメートル。全長の約7割は水運可能であり、合川と重慶との間には客船が往来する。なお、上流の峡谷地帯には多くのダムがある。
