(10) Blue-collar workers become middle-class or bourgeois, and in capitalist societies, the "institutionalization of class struggle" becomes common, supported by the development of industrial democracy represented by the collective bargaining system, the activation of social mobility (especially active upward mobility due to educational attainment and an increase in white-collar workers), rising wages and living standards for blue-collar workers, and the establishment of arbitration and mediation institutions for labor-management disputes (the labor commission system and labor courts).
