[Reflex epilepsy]
The focus that produces epilepsy (epileptogenic focus) is in the sensory cortex, and when this focus is activated by sensory stimulation, a seizure occurs. This is called reflex epilepsy. There are photogenic epilepsy (triggered by sunlight filtering through trees) which shows tonic-clonic convulsions, television epilepsy (triggered by television), and phonogenic epilepsy (triggered by specific sounds or music) which shows complex partial seizures.
