...Nevertheless, the total number of labor disputes between 1941 and the end of the war in August 1945 was 334 in 1941 (159 involving industrial action), 268 (173) in 1942, 417 (279) in 1943, 296 (216) in 1944, and 13 (11) in 1945, for a total of 1,328 (838) cases, with a total of 56,857 participants (36,896 involved in industrial action). Most of the labor disputes were unconscious and unconscious, based on spontaneous anti-war sentiment, but there were also cases of group violence resulting from poor labor management, and the "Oshaka struggle," in which defective products, known as "Oshaka," were secretly produced. The number of tenant disputes decreased gradually, from 3,308 in 1941, to 2,756 in 1942, 2,424 in 1943, and 2,160 in 1944, but remained at a fairly high level. A total of 91,425 tenant farmers participated in the disputes, but the majority of tenant disputes were spontaneous, small-scale individual disputes.
