Oki Omae Reef - Oki Omae Reef

...The wave-cut platform formed along the coast shows uplift during earthquakes, and the fault topography of the plateau shows signs of movement. Offshore lies the Oki-Omae Reef, and the continental shelf is widely developed. Strong westerly winds in winter caused sand from the Enshu Nada Sea to be blown up onto the plateau, forming the Omaezaki Sand Dunes.
