...Total length 36cm. In Miyazaki Prefecture, this species is called Kotobi and the flying fish is called Ootobi. The red kite C. atrisignis , with its reddish purple pectoral fins, is found from Hawaii to Taiwan and is also caught in large numbers in the summer on Hachijo Island.
